Tuscarora Archers

About our program:

Under the directions of Jerry Shuck and 12 volunteers that have been certified for a level one instruction. This is the official certification course of the USA Archery and the National Field Archery Association. This is the same certification used by the "Archery in the School" programs. This is a great program to introduce your child to archery!

The clinic consist of one on one instruction on archery safety, proper shooting techniques, different types of equipment and proper shooting etiquette. The clinic runs for 4 weeks. By the end of the program many kids are ready to shoot the youth league the the clubs after the clinic. Many of the kids that finish this clinic will compete in state and national competitions.

Tuscarora at this time is also in the process of adding a JOAD program. Updates will be added as information becomes available.  

Program Dates and Info: The clinic will run for 4 weeks on a Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Starting in January 2012.  Class sizes will be limited to 24 students. equipment will be provided by the club. Parents are strongly advised not to purchase equipment until the first session is underway. We have different bows for them to try to see what is best for them.
